Will my pixel dimensions fill this print size, and what PPI remains after cropping?
DPI metadata alone does not add detail. First resolve the image and paper aspect ratios: fill may crop pixels, while fit preserves pixels but leaves unused paper. Effective PPI is usable pixels divided by the physical inches actually occupied.
Method
The tool calculates usable pixel dimensions, crop percentage, effective PPI, required pixels and the largest uncropped/cropped print at the entered target. Three PPI scenarios are references, not quality guarantees.
Important limitation
Printer, paper, sharpening, resampling, subject detail, compression and viewing distance affect perceived quality. Confirm bleed, colour profile and file specifications with the exact print provider.
