How high should I mount a TV for two seats and a soundbar?
Calculate each seat's natural sight-line centre, weight them by actual use, then compare that target with the minimum bottom edge required above the console and soundbar. The higher constraint controls, but should be mocked up before drilling.
Method
For a 16:9 screen, the planner derives screen height from diagonal size. Each sight line is eye height + distance × tan(recline), then the furniture minimum adds console, soundbar, gap and half the screen height.
Important limitation
SMPTE's 15-degree value is shown only as a professional reference-viewing boundary, not medical advice. The tool does not locate VESA holes, inspect wall structure, certify load or replace the exact TV and mount manuals.
