Air Compressor Tool CFM, Tank Refill & Duty-Cycle Planner

Separate sustained delivered airflow from receiver buffer, calculate pressure-band free air and net refill, then compare the required pump run fraction with the exact manufacturer duty limit.

Can this compressor sustain the tool and recover within its duty limit?

Compare delivered CFM at the working pressure with average demand plus reserve. The receiver only supplies a short burst between cut-out and cut-in; it cannot fix a sustained airflow deficit.

Method

Average demand equals tool CFM times use fraction. Receiver free air uses tank volume and gauge-pressure difference; refill uses compressor CFM minus concurrent average demand only when that net flow is positive.

Important limitation

This cannot approve a pressure vessel, relief setting, pipe network, air quality, industrial continuous service or exact tool performance. Use delivered-air ratings at pressure and the manufacturer duty-cycle manual.
