Projector Throw Distance, Screen & Wall Fit Planner
Turn a projector's throw-ratio range into a real screen-size range after subtracting cabinet depth, rear cables and screen offset, then check wall and furniture clearance.
What screen size can this projector produce in my actual room?
Throw ratio uses image width, not diagonal. First calculate the lens-to-screen distance available after physical clearances; divide it by the model's maximum and minimum throw ratios to get the optical width range, then cap it by the usable wall.
Method
The planner derives height and diagonal from the selected aspect ratio. It shows three rear-cable-clearance scenarios so a nominal room-depth result cannot hide installation sensitivity.
Important limitation
This geometry does not certify focus, optical zoom range, lens shift, keystone quality, brightness, screen gain, ventilation or mount loading. Verify the exact manual and measure from the lens reference point.
How to use the result safely
Treat this as a transparent planning ledger. Recheck every measured value, keep a margin for real installation conditions, and stop before spending when the exact first-party rule is missing.
