Where should overhead speakers be marked from the main listening position?
Start from the main listening position and seated ear height, select an angle inside the official chart, then convert the vertical rise into measurable offsets. Room fit and obstructions remain separate gates.
Method
Offset = (ceiling height − ear height) ÷ tan(angle). Coordinates add or subtract that offset from the measured listening position.
